ABOUT PIBOX

PiBOX consists of a twin-motor self-recharging continuously through the movement of wheelchairs.

The goal is to help people with reduced mobility who use wheelchairs become more independent by being able to climb small steps and ramps, thus overcoming architectural barriers in an economical and simple way.

The user, through the movement of his arms, will recharge the ferrous lithium battery located at the bottom of the chair.

PiBOX connects to an app that reports your daily strokes, encouraging you to exercise, battery level, SOS button, distance traveled, and more.

Using an NFC chip, anyone can access the rescue data the user wishes to provide in the event of an accident, such as blood type, age, medical conditions like diabetes, etc.

The PiBOX model is available for 20% of the price of a conventional electric wheelchair, and its installation is so simple that the user can do it themselves on any conventional wheelchair in 5 minutes.

WHY PIBOX?

When we noticed the number of teenagers in wheelchairs at our school, the need to improve the lives of people with reduced mobility was born within us, since disability represents an important risk factor in depression, there being a higher prevalence of this psychological disorder in people with disabilities than in the general population, due to this we created the Wheel-Team project group and began to give it shape, with the thought that one reason why people with reduced mobility suffer from depression is because of vital dependence on others.

COLLABORATORS

Every project needs input, advice, ideas, and external support to gain more opportunities for success. We learn from everything. Based on that short saying, we are looking for collaborators, and so far the following have been:
